What is a Freeschool? - A Freeschool is a place where you are free to learn whatever you want to. There are no required classes, and you are largely responsible for structuring your own time.
What is a Homeschool Support Center? - Our Freeschool is also a homeschool support center. If you are or want to be homeschooled, and you want a place to go where there are other people your age and additional activities that you might not have at home, this is the place!
Will I be able to get a High School Diploma? - Our students are registered as homeschoolers in their local school district. For policies on receiving a diploma, please refer to your district. We encourage young people to move beyond the idea of getting a high school diploma, and instead start taking college classes or interning in their areas of interest as soon as they are ready.
Are there any academic requirements at the Freeschool? - Yes, we believe that it is critical that you learn to read, write, and speak well. Your ability to read, write and speak well will open the door to opportunity in all the parts of your life. To that end, students are encouraged to build a portfolio of their work. The portfolio can be used as a record of all you have accomplished: creative writing, journal entries, drawings and other artwork, music, photography, programming, web design, research, and more. Students interested in going on to college or university will find that a comprehensive portfolio is a tremendous asset when going through the application process.
